Trout Float Trips

Lets face it; trout are the supreme game fish of fresh water. The Montford Angler loves nothing more than to take an angler deep into the depths of trout lore, entomology, and tactics. Fishing trout from a boat offers a unique approach to these cunning and splendid creatures. Our Tennessee tailwaters of the South Holston and Watauga require an equally cunning guide to help you fool these fish into sipping that size #20 dry fly.

Smallmouth Bass Float Trips

Slam!!  Whopp!!  Bammmm!!  Thats what small mouth do, they eat it like they mean it.  Far from finicky, but stubborn in their own right, small mouth offer a change of pace in the late spring/summer/early fall from trout fishing.  They inhabit the often less crowded, granite strewn, rapid filled, warm waters of Southern Appalachia.  If you want to change gears, a small mouth float is for you.  We target the bronze backs with both spin and fly methods so as to optimize success.
